As members of the police force, we're all integral to this foreign family we've been dropped into. We come from different worlds - too many to count for a cop like me who grew up reading and watching about the kind of things that are possible in the confines of this place. Multi-dimensional nexus, snowglobe crosspoint; whatever you wanna call it. There's no clear cut reason for anyone being brought here and that makes this organization all the more important.
The force isn't legally backed, seeing as there is no existing legal system. We're disorganized, we don't communicate as well as we could and we're fighting a losing battle. We're confused, we're tired and we're going to keep running in place if we keep on like this.
Having said all of that, I see a lot of good people around me at the offices. Some of us are officers, some are other skilled professionals but we're all coworkers. Family. And we've got plenty more family - people we want to protect and keep safe so that they might get that golden ticket to go home. We're all guests in the same hell hole, so we might as well pull together and make something good out of it.
Backpatting over; let's go with the brutal truth. We're out any kind of upper staff, we have disorganized communications, I'm pretty sure whatever holding cells we have wouldn't even faze one of every two people in the City and we're overwhelmed in cold cases. What the hell are we supposed to do here, guys? I'm sick and tired of waiting around while curses and criminals walk all over us. Things have to change, and it has to start now. I'm willing to make some of those changes, but I can't do it alone.

Date: 2010-03-15 06:30 pm (UTC)We're definitely going to start getting the ball rolling on that, I agree. Especially with this new case -- you should check out the information brought up about some of the suspects of the recent murders. Maybe you've got some insight on the possible cannibalism.
I hate to say it but we have to concern ourselves with what we can affect, instead of trying to fix things that we're never going to be able to.

I'd agree.
