18th arrest; but my own father said give her up don't bother

public, voice;
This is Chief Kate Beckett, making a quick note as a courtesy. You may not recognize me when I come into the office this morning. I'm, uh. Male. Castle, I took the liberty of raiding your wardrobe.

Go ahead, get the laughter out now. [And Kate flips to video, linefacing and looking fairly unamused. And manly!]

police filter, voice;
It's been over a week. What does everyone have so far, because this needs to be cleaned up yesterday.

[ooc: Kate Beckett is manly! Responses from [livejournal.com profile] nicholasheat. As far as the police business, I figure we're moving along through the investigation stage, so along with what anyone comments here, we'd likely be to the point where they submit that they've no evidence supporting the accusations and might even possibly have alibis and other evidence refuting the accusations? Sorry I've been a little behind and chaotic with the open threads on this plot, I'm not really absolutely sure where we're supposed to be at this point, so correct me if I'm mistaken! :) Alsoooo bendytime to the morning if that's okay?]

[A pause as she's taken aback by Beckett's gender switch for a moment. However, business first.]

Forensics has concluded our investigation of the original crime scenes; I e-mailed you a more detailed final report a moment ago. As I suspected, we were unable to discover any new evidence pertaining to the crimes. I also took the initiative to go over the physical evidence gathered during the initial investigations of the assaults. The conclusions drawn from them remained unchanged after my review - a separate report of this is included in the e-mail.

[Next is added tersely, because Brennan hates admitting she was unable to find anything new despite the numerous overtime hours she spent on every little detail.]

Forensically, there's nothing to definitively tie the suspects to these crimes.

Character ref'rence's not enough I s'pose, ma--guv, yeah? Wish I knew when Ken'd been killed. Or that we 'ad forensic evidence of where 'e'd been shot. But if I knew when...I dunno. I see Ray nearly all the time cos of work an' goin' to the bar. An' I know that Ray never said nothing about knowin' that Ken was a po--um....a gay bloke. 'E don't act like one, guv. When 'e told us that that was why Ray killed 'im, it was news t'both of us.

Plus, I dunno if it counts for anythin' but Ray's not the sort t'shoot a bloke. If 'e 'ad a problem with Ken, he'd've sorted it out in a proper fight. Don't s'pose any of that counts as proper evidence, though.
