[Beckett looks worn, pissed and as if she's trying to appear less than frantic. Feeling like a failure has become a full time job in this place, and now she's not even sure she can protect her own friends.]
Earlier today,

laszlo_jamf escaped from prison. I won't insult you and make this a police-only matter, but please understand that this is a very dangerous situation. We're establishing a manhunt as we speak, but again I have to ask for those who are suited and willing to help. We're combing the area around the prison at the moment, mobilizing to the Underground entrances and sending officers out to the deity office.

[ooc: if other cops want to make posts about the break, feel free. if citizens want to comment on the sudden mass of police (which really isn't technically all that much but it would be an increased presence, feel free! business owners, maybe the cops ran through or cased your shopped in their search? also, feel free to have your character join up and search for laz, put together your own groups to hunt his ass down -- but don't expect to find him. yet. i will be out in a couple of hours and largely absent all tomorrow, so feel free to hijack and mobilize. beckett will authorize anything short of harming others to find laz.]

As soon as Castle gets Beckett's notice he cuts his walk on the beach short and heads back to the beach house.

"Alexis! Honey, where are you?" he yells as he comes through the door and heads upstairs toward Alexis' room.

Alexis is doing the only thing she can think to do being alone in the beach house after getting the news that Laszlo is free. She's hiding in her closet with a flashlight on to keep it from being dark and one of the guns Kate had said were here. Her mind might be going a little crazy right now. So when her dad opens the closet door, she's just sitting there on the floor shaking with the gun in her hand, not by the grip, no she's holding it by the barrel cause thinking straight is not her thing at the moment. "I'm fine." She said. "Everything's going to be fine... Kate said."

Castle crouches very carefully and slowly in front of Alexis and nods. "Yeah and if Kate promises it then it's true. Why don't you give me the gun, Honey? I'll keep you and it with me." He starts to take the gun from her very carefully and slowly, holding it by the grip.

She lets him take the gun and then fists her shaky hand, curling her arms in against her chest with the flashlight. "Dad, this is bad. This is really bad. I can't... I'm not okay. I'm not okay."

"Baby, no one expects you to be okay."

And Castle crawls into the closet with her. He checks the safety on the gun and puts it on the floor next to him then wraps his arms around Alexis. "It's going to be okay though. We're going to work on making it okay."

Beckett, what can I do? I've locked up, Alexis is safe but scared. I'm scared for her.

Scared is okay, but I've got your back. There's a detail on the way and I'm going to try to get you someone a little more...on his level looking out for you.
